Live Stream and Easter Worship Update
St. Paul Family -
Holy Week and Easter will look unlike any other we have ever experienced in our lifetimes.
First, as you know, our State and National leaders have asked us to refrain from large gatherings throughout April. As sad as this is for all of us, we will be following their requests.
LIVE STREAM WORSHIP
This means I will continue to offer live stream broadcasts of our services throughout the month of April. This will happen at 9:00 a.m. on Facebook. We have had a great response to this and many outside our St. Paul family are tuning in. Thank you for sharing this opportunity with others.
We will also live stream a message both on Holy Thursday and Good Friday. That will take place at 7:00 p.m. both evenings. We began our midweek Lent services this year on our Lord's "Final Words." On those evenings, we will hear Jesus declare "I Thirst" and "Finished."
Did you know that if you miss those Live broadcasts, you can still go to Facebook at any time and watch them. So even if you are unable to join the St. Paul family at 9 a.m. or 7 p.m., you can still watch. Or, if you feel the message will bless someone else, you can help that person access our Facebook page and encourage them to watch.
EASTER DRIVE UP WORSHIP
Yesterday I had the chance to visit with our County Sheriff, Duane Ladwig. He gave St. Paul the approval to hold a drive up Easter service at 10:30 a.m. on April 12. THIS IS NOT FINALIZED - so stay tuned for more information.
People could park along Polk and along Sherman Streets. We will need to space the cars a bit. I would be stationed by the Fire Pit. Doug Burritt has a loud speaker system and we are considering pursuing broadcasting the service over an FM channel so you could more easily listen in your cars. We even have special music lined up for the service, thanks to Louise Wheeler.
There could be some issues with rain, cold or wind. Our Church Council is making determinations on all this at the current time but I thought I would give you a heads up on this. Pray that it all falls together. In any case, an Easter Service we will have a Live Stream Easter service at 9:00, so if the Drive Up service doesn't work out, you can still make use of the Live Stream.
The Lord be with you.
